BA Gym Policies

Basic Safety Rules: All patrons, students, etc. MUST enter and exit through the front entrance. Roll up door is NOT an entrance or exit! Students MUST wait for their instructor to call them out onto the gym floor. Parents, guests and siblings are NOT permitted on equipment and/or the gym floor. This is for the safety of the gymnasts and all others concerned. All guests may watch from the viewing area, or wait in the lobby during classes. NO coaching from the sidelines will be permitted, as it is distracting to the gymnast and coach, and could be dangerous. If a parent or spectator continues to interrupt class, they will be asked to wait in the lobby during workouts. CHILDREN ARE TO BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES AND FORBIDDEN TO "PLAY" OUTSIDE OF GYM IN PARKING LOT OR SIDEWALK.

Weather Policy: Believe Athletics follows health and safety guidelines according to the CDPH for activities during extreme heats. Believe Athletics is a warehouse gymnastics facility that is not air conditioned. During the summer months, we try to relieve high heat by opening all roll-up doors to provide air flow, turning on 10+ fans throughout the gym, including multiple swamp coolers and large industrial overhead fans, and allowing additional water breaks/cooling breaks to athletes. At times when the temperature rises above 100 degrees, we review the Heat Risk index and will cancel classes affected by the higher heats (as suggested by the CHPH - this is typically our earlier classes that will be canceled, but the later classes will resume as the temperature drops later in the day). During the winter, we are equipped with a heater to help warm the gym. We allow sweatpants and sweatshirts (without a hood) to be worn in class.

Pictures and Video: Believe Athletics requests that your photos and videos be confined to your athlete only, and do not upload any pictures or videos to the internet that contains images of students other than your own, BA staff, or BA signage.

Social Media: We strive to create a positive and respectful environment for all athletes, coaches, and families. To maintain this standard, we have implemented the following social media policy: Parents are expected to communicate respectfully about our program including coaches and staff, on all social media platforms. Constructive feedback should be directed through appropriate channels. Posting negative or defamatory comments about our business, coaches, or staff on social media is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, comments, posts, shares, messages. Any parent or athlete found in violation of this policy will be subject to review. Consequences may include, but are not limited to, a warning or dismissal from our program. If you have concerns or issues that need to be addressed, please contact us directly through email or in person at the front desk, and we will work to resolve them promptly and professionally.

Trial: Trial class is suggested for class placement. Students are allowed only one trial class. There is a trial fee (equivalent to the cost of one class) that must be paid in order to partake in the trial class. The trial fee is non-refundable; however, it WILL be applied towards your registration if you should choose to enroll. All trials must be approved by Believe Athletics staff in advance.

Class availability is decided on a first come, first served basis. Believe Athletics does not guarantee availability in any class. Times and dates subject to change.

Absences: If a student cannot attend a class, and notifies the gym prior to class time, a make-up class may be scheduled. The make-up class must be scheduled within four weeks of the missed class. Make up classes can be arranged with the front office or scheduled online through your parent portal. Only 1 make-up class is permitted per month. We do not offer tuition discounts in place of make-up lessons. If a student is ill, please call ahead to excuse him/her from class. Make up classes will be scheduled when the athlete is well. We strongly suggest that you don't bring ill or injured athletes to class. We strongly suggest you submit your athlete's absence via phone call, email, or parent portal. Please keep in mind that 3-4 consecutive no call/no show absences will result in your athlete being dropped from their roster spot.

Punctuality: We ask that students arrive 5 minutes prior to class time. Every class begins with a warm-up which is important to reduce the risk of injuries. If a student arrives late and misses any portion of the warm up, it will be up to the instructor if the student will be allowed into class. However, if a student is tardy by more than 10 minutes, he/she will not be allowed to participate in class and will be directed to the front desk to schedule a make-up class (with possible exceptions for advanced students).

Clothing: NO STREET CLOTHES ARE ALLOWED; THIS INCLUDES DENIM. Believe Athletics may sit students out or loan clothing to students for the day if clothing is deemed inappropriate. • Girls - leotards, unitards or stretch shorts with a shirt tucked in. Sweats may also be worn. Bare feet or gym shoes only. No zippers, buttons or snaps. Tank tops MUST BE thick strapped and may not be low cut. No drinks and/or snacks in the gym area. Food and/or drinks are not allowed during workout, with the exception of water. Students are required to store their personal items in the Cubbies provided. No belongings are permitted in walkways or scattered throughout the seating area. Believe Athletics has the right to move improperly placed items. Believe Athletics is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Withdrawl Policy

I understand that Believe Athletics Gym will assume that my athlete(s) will continue in their class(es) each month until I submit a drop class form. I understand that I must complete a drop class form and submit it to the Front Office 30 days prior to discontinuing classes otherwise I will be responsible for any unattended classes and all account balances (It is not acceptable to turn in the drop class form to anyone except the front office). I understand that I am responsible to pay all account balances. If this form is not submitted to the Front Office 30 days prior to the beginning of a new month of classes, I understand that I am still responsible to pay, (at the time of submitting this form), all tuition, fees, etc. associated with enrollment in that class(es). A Drop Class Form does not need to be submitted for class transfers. I understand that failing to attend the class without notification does not excuse me from my responsibility to pay all account balances within a 30-day drop period. After 3-4 consecutive no call/no show absences, I understand that Believe Athletics reserves the right to drop my athlete from their roster spot. Believe Athletics will attempt to give a courtesy call after 3-4 no call/no show absences to inform you that you will be dropped from the roster if you don’t inform us you plan on returning. I understand this warning call is NOT guaranteed and it is my responsibility to inform Believe Athletics of any absences by calling, emailing, or submitting absences via parent portal. All fees charged prior to being dropped due to a no show are non refundable. Any balance unpaid within the period of time leading up to their no show drop, must still be paid and Believe Athletics will auto charge this amount to the card on file.  By checking this box I have read and agree to give 30 day's written notice of withdrawal.

Payment Policy

Effective Jan 1, 2024. Payment Information: There is an annual membership fee due at the time of registration. Tuition is due by the first day of each month, if tuition is not paid by the 5th a $10 late fee is charged. The class schedule for our program is based on a 4 class per month schedule. Our tuition schedule is based on 48 classes a year therefore when we are closed, tuition is not pro-rated as there is 52 weeks in a year and our closure schedule accounts for all classes receiving 48 class days in the year. Students are eligible for 1 make up class each month which must be scheduled online (recreational programs only). I understand that I must have a credit or debit card on file. I understand that I may still pay for services, products, tuition, etc. by cash, credit/debit or check, however my credit or debit card will be charged the balance of my account if my account is not paid by the first day of each month. I hereby authorize Believe Athletics Gym LLC  to charge my credit or debit card for all services and products related to my family's enrollment in classes and activities at Believe Athletics Gym, including but not limited to tuition, memberships, special events, accessories, etc. (Fees are subject to change.) I understand that it is my responsibility to inform the Front Office of any changes to my credit or debit card including but not limited to card expiration, name change, loss or theft of card, etc. In the event my credit or debit card is declined for any reason, I understand I will be responsible for the full payment as well as any late charges or service charges related. There is a $20 returned check charge for any checks returned by the bank. Accounts that become 30 days overdue will be considered for additional fees and being put on hold until fees are paid.  Specific circumstances are required to be approved by the office manager in advance. Last minute changes will not be granted if not advised 24 hours in advance before automatic payment is drawn. By checking this box, I have read this agreement and understand that I will be held responsible for its terms and conditions of service.

Parking Agreement

All students, spectators and Believe Athletics customers may NOT park in any space in front of ANY business at ANY time, even if businesses are closed for the day. This is to keep track of potential burglaries or vandalism should a business owner drive by at any given time. Everyone must park in the general parking along 5th street. This includes but is not limited to shows, competitions, fundraising events, extra practices, open gyms and private lessons. Violators will be towed and repeat offenders will be asked not to return to our facility. We can't afford to lose our business over parking disputes, but we do need to follow the complex rules. Please respect Believe Athletics by respecting all surrounding businesses, so that we can conduct business in a peaceful atmosphere. I, the undersigned understand that Believe Athletics parking is limited to the spaces along the south wall and near main complex entrance along 5th street. I also understand that I am responsible for all other drivers that bring my child to Believe Athletics. Believe Athletics has the right to report any violators of this contract to authorities, which may result in vehicles being towed.
